These T&Cs apply to all services provided by Le Gypaète Parapente Sàrl: tandem flights, paragliding courses, and workshop services.
Le Gypaète Parapente Sàrl is a limited liability company whose main activity is the training of paragliding pilots, the organisation of tandem flights, the promotion of free flight, as well as technical services relating to equipment. Taking part in an activity implies full and unreserved acceptance of these T&Cs.
3.1 Tandem flights and training — Registration is valid once the form has been completed and these T&Cs accepted. For minor customers, the written consent of the legal guardian is mandatory.
3.2 Workshop — The mandate is deemed accepted as soon as Le Gypaète Parapente Sàrl has been able to carry out an initial assessment of the condition of the equipment entrusted to it.
The use of personal equipment is subject to the school's acceptance. Le Gypaète Parapente Sàrl may refuse equipment for safety reasons and may require the equipment to be inspected by its own technical service.
Each participant must hold non-occupational accident insurance covering the risks of free flight. Participants using their own equipment must also hold third-party liability insurance and a valid FSVL membership number.
The mandatee undertakes to carry out the services in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO). Should additional costs arise, the mandator will be informed and must accept them in writing.
Payments must be made before the activity. Certain courses may be subject to a specific arrangement. For workshop services, payment is due upon delivery of the serviced equipment.
Transport is at the customer's expense, unless otherwise stated. The school shuttle is included only for initiation courses. Where no public transport is available, shuttle costs are added to the base price.
Training services must be used within 12 months of the invoice date. Beyond this period, a surcharge of 60% may be applied or the service cancelled without refund. Services purchased are non-refundable in the event of partial use.
When purchasing an Independent or Loyalty Package, the student undertakes not to fly at another school without prior written authorisation, until all the solo flights in the package have been completed.
Cancellation by the customer gives no entitlement to any refund, save in duly justified cases of force majeure. A date may be changed up to 7 days beforehand. Any modification outside this deadline is treated as a cancellation.
If the school cancels, the activity is rescheduled. In the event of definitive cancellation by the school, the customer is refunded after deduction of the services already provided.
After receiving the serviced equipment, the customer must carry out a full inspection and report any defect within 24 hours. A training-slope session is mandatory before any resumption of flying.
These T&Cs are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Le Gypaète Parapente Sàrl, Chemin du Tennis 20, 1871 Les Giettes, Switzerland.
